Kilmarnock Harrier & Athletic Club have a new and exciting opportunity for members between the age of 15 and 25 years. This new opportunity will provide FREE training and support to the successful applicants, to help them be the next crop of new coaches in the club.

Have you every wanted to help others enjoy sport?

Do you want to learn and develop your personal skills?

Do you have a passion for athletics and sport?

Would you like to have a career in sport?

Would you like to learn how to lead, organise and coach sport to young people?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, the Young Coaches Academy is for you. The club are looking for up to 12 young people to embark in this inaugural Young Coaches Academy.

If successful, you will receive a number of awards and qualifications, leading you to the formal UKA Coaching Assistant qualification and licence.

These awards and qualifications can be a stepping stone to further education at college or university. They could also lead to employment via the local authority athletics programme, can you imagine being paid to do your hobby?

It is anticipated that the club will start the training in September, or at the earliest opportunity as we emerge from lockdown.
