YOUNG ATHLETES NATIONAL ROAD RACE CHAMPS

Battery Park Greenock on a mostly dry but very windy day was the venue for the last championship event of the winter season
Once again the young Harriers performed brilliantly with the highlight being Olivia Warboys excellent bronze medal in the Under 13 Girls race
She was backed up by Rachel Warboys , Libby Henderson, Molly Hunter and Mhairi Ballantyne who all had good runs

In the Under 13 Boys race Sam Rice gained an excellent top 10 finish there was also a very good run by Matthew Monochello

In the Under 15 Girls Ellie Anderson transferred her great performances in the country this winter to the roads with a really strong run

Under 15 Boys were lead home by Jonathon Downey who had his usual good performance ably backed up by Jordan Philips and Taylor Cadwell  all 3 finishing well up the field (unfortunately Jamie Phillips had to withdraw during the race with an injury )

In the Under 17 Girls race there was strong runs from both Laura Jedrusiak and Eilidh Ballantyne
