Winter Championship 2018-19 Update – Harriers vs Cyclists XC (16/12/2018)

The final race of the Winter Championship prior to Christmas Day took place in Irvine in the form of the Harriers vs Cyclists XC.  There were three women and three men representing the Harriers at the event.  For the women Paula Wilson came first followed by Kirsty McNulty in second and Amanda Bryden in third.  For the men Connelly Drummond came first followed by John Speirs in second and Jamie Nix in third.  Well done to all six of you.

The Winter Championship tables have now been updated.  There are no changes at the summit of the women’s table with Paula Wilson, Jennifer Beattie and Kirsty Alexander retaining the top three spots respectively.  However, in the men’s table Connell Drummond and Richard Mair retain first and second but John Speirs has now moved into joint third alongside Murray McDonald.  The top of the men’s table is very tight but there are still several races to go so there could be many changes yet.  The updated championship tables are below:

The next race following Christmas Day is the Turkey Trot 10k on Boxing Day (Wednesday 26/12/2018).  Entries for this are now closed but 302 have registered to take part with 18 of them being Harriers so there should be a good turnout.

Following this the Beith 10k Race Race takes place on Wednesday 02/01/2019).  Entries for this are open until Friday 28/12/2018 and there are still spaces available.  Entry can be made using this link.

If anyone has any questions about the Winter Championship then please contact either of the team captains using the email addresses below.  Merry Christmas everyone!
