Winter Championship 2018-19 Update – Beith Road Race 10k (02/01/2019)

Happy new year to everyone!

The first race of the new year got underway in the form of the Beith Road Race 10k in unusually good weather conditions for the time of the year.  Seven Harriers turned up for the event.  For the women Kirsty McNulty came first, Amanda Bryden second and Jacqui Sandler third whereas for the men Connell Drummond came first, John Speirs came second, Jamie Nix came third and Gordon Sandler came fourth.  Well done to all those who took part.

The Winter Championship tables have now been updated.  Paula Wilson, Jennifer Beattie and Kirsty McNulty continue to occupy the top three slots in the women’s table.  In the men’s table Connell Drummond and John Speirs continue to consolidate their positions as first and second respectively whereas Richard Mair retains third.  There are still four races left in the Winter Championship therefore things could change yet.  The tables can be found below:

The next two races upcoming are the Roon’ the Country XC Festival in Kilmarnock on 20/01/2019 and the National XC Championship in Falkirk on 23/02/2019.  Details of these races will go up on the club’s Facebook page soon so please keep a lookout for this.
