Tom Scott 10 Mile Road Race

Ideal conditions at Strathclyde Country Park

Although this weekend was fairly quiet regards racing, 2 Harriers were in action at the Tom Scott 10 Mile Road Race which was being held in and around Strathclyde Park on April 7th.

The Race which was also the incorporating the Scottish 10 mile Championship, West District Championship, and also Scottish Masters Championship as usual attracted a large field, and as ever competition was fierce.

First Harrier home was Scott Martin who finished 14th overall and marginally outside the medals in his age category in the West Districts Champs. Scott ran a small personal best and was pleased with his run in ideal conditions.

Next in was Tony Rodden who used the race as part of his forthcoming Marathon preparation. The relatively new member continues to improve and in breaking the 70 minute barrier will be hoping for a good debut marathon when it comes around.

14th Scott Martin 57.46, 88th Tony Rodden 69.28
