Summer Championships Update

Hi,

Please find the links to the updated championship points below, following Thursday nights Garscube Harriers Charlie Kilshaw Memorial 5 mile race,  which took place within the grounds of Milngavie Waterworks.

Craig Ferguson took the full 15 points in the men’s Championship with a great run winning the overall race. In the championship there are only 2 points separating the top 3, as Scott Lyden moved narrowly ahead of Stuart Nibloe and John Tougher at the top.

In the women’s championship Liz McDerment took the full 15 points in her 1st championship appearance of this season, ahead of Paula Wilson. Amanda Bryden remains well ahead at the top, however the others may have an opportunity to close the gap in the coming races, with Amanda having registered her 7 races for the year. Jacqui Sandler and Lynne McCaffrey remain in 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

The next race is the short category Kilmaurs 5k on Wednesday 26th July. Many Kilmarnock Harriers are already pre-entered for this popular local race, but there are still places available (enter via Entry Central). Pre-entry is recommended due to the chip timing system in use and entry on the night cannot be guaranteed, so I would urge you to enter online to avoid disappointment.

Hope to see you there. If anyone else has done a marathon and your time is not listed, please let one of the club captains know, so we can amend this for the next update.

Many Thanks

The Club Captains
