Scottish senior championships – silver medal

Yesterday Kara Tait and Roy Shankland competed at the Scottish senior championships at Scoutson. Roy who is still an under 20 athlete and is competing next weekend at the under 20 championships was up first and in the 400m. He had a strong run and just missed out on gaining a place in the final.

Next up was Kara Tait who competed in the 5000m. After a few laps Kara found herself in fourth place. However with 7 laps to go Kara moved herself into third place with the second place athlete around 16 seconds in head. Kara continued to run strong and moved in second place with two laps to go and finished in a new pb of 17.33.49 and a Scottish senior silver medal.
