Rowallan Rosebowl Results 2018

Congratulations to all 60 runners who competed in this years Rowallan Rosebowl. It was great to see the junior section so well represented and so many new faces in the race, I am sure they all benefited from (and enjoyed!) the experience. There were some fine individual performances on the night – especially from Craig Ferguson, in 14:40 and an impressive 17:41 from Laura Heggarty.  However it is a team event which requires strength in depth to deliver the results and the team who had this on the night was Team 5 made up of

Robert Lindsay and Stewart McAllister plus the junior pairing of Olivia Warboys and Ellie Anderson. Winning this race is becoming a family tradition for the Lindsays with Sam in 2017 now followed by dad, Robert.

It is they who will now have their names engraved on this historic trophy which we have been competing for since 1933. Well done to them. To every one else – there’s always next year!

Trying to pull together teams under pressure is  a bit error prone and we didn’t get the balance quite right. Apologies to those who think they have been hard done by. If you let me know we will take it into consideration for The Valley Dash :-).

Finally thanks to the marshals and timekeepers who helped out tonight.
