National Short Course XC

On Saturday 9th November the national short course cross country took place in Kirkcaldy. Despite a disappointing turnout for this event from the seniors, three ladies and two men took on the 4k course. Craig Ferguson was in first out of the two men in an excellent time of 14:43 and takes the 10 points, followed by Douglas Dickson who completed in 22:42. For the ladies, it was Lindsay Johnson who was the quickest for Kilmarnock in a time of 18:40 and also takes the 10 points. Not far behind Lindsay was Kirsty McNulty in 19:14, followed by Sandra Dickson, finishing in 24:02. Well done everyone for travelling the distance to compete.

Also well done to the juniors that travelled through and competed.

Winter Champs Men 19-20

Next race for the winter champs is the Ayrshire XC Champs on Saturday 16th November at Rozelle Park, Ayr. This is an individual race and both male and female run 9000m. Entry is on the day and is £6 per athlete if SA registered and £8 if not SA registered. Hoping to see plenty of blue and white vests at this one.

We are also now taking names for the West District XC Champs at Balloch Castle Country Park on Saturday 7th December. Names are needed by 21st Nov, so please get your name in if you want to race, if you haven’t already done so. Thanks.
