London Marathon – Club places

The draw was made for the remaining 2 club places in the 2014 London Marathon tonight.

With Janice Millar already taking up her place for competing in most 2013 summer championship events, three members put themselves forward for the draw.  All of them had entered the marathon themselves and been unsuccessful in the ballot.

The draw was made by upstanding club members Mike Corson and Mike Scott.  David Lowdon, present to ensure a fair draw, was the first name drawn followed by Tony Rodden. So it was unlucky for Brian Darroch.

Good luck to Janice, David and Tony.  There have been some great marathon performances by club members this year, so the pressure is on to get us off to a good start in 2014.
