Due to the torrential downpours on Wednesday, the race had to be rescheduled and was run on Friday. The delay didn’t seem to affect many of the runners as there were quite a few PBs and some excellent performances throughout the age groups.

First over the line for the Harriers men (2nd overall) was Martin Brown in a time of 15.54. A very noticeable performance came from young Sam Rice (11-14 age group) who finished 4th overall in 16.35.

The ladies were led home by Kara Tait who is finally getting back to her best after a few seasons out due to injury. Her time of 18.56 placed her as 3rd female overall. Michelle Goldie and Viv Lambert both claimed PBs and were within a second of each other in 23.27 and 23.28.

Mark Lyden still leads the men’s table with John Speirs in hot pursuit, closely followed by David McLure. No change in the women’s standings with Jacqueline, Amanda and Michelle as your top 3. Points table attached here – Championship-Tables-2019-1-1-F (1)Championship-Tables-2019-1-1-F (2)
