Kilmarnock Harriers Ayrshire Athletics Arena | 125 year group

Kilmarnock Harriers (SCO46169)would like to give you an overview of our club to provide you with information about our activities in the hope that you may want to come along and join our well established friendly club.

The club provides opportunities for the people of East Ayrshire and surrounding areas to receive coaching and competition in Track and Field, Cross-Country, Indoor, Road Running and Hill Running. All coaching is by UKA qualified coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people and vulnerable adults.

Training sessions, which are provided for a wide range of fitness levels and goals, take place on:

  • Monday at 7pm – 8pm (9-14yr olds)
  • Monday at 7pm-8pm (Jog Squad)
  • Tuesday at 6pm – 7pm (Track Sessions)
  • Tuesday at 7pm – 8pm (all ages)
  • Wednesday at 7pm – 8pm (9-14yr olds)
  • Wednesday 7pm – 8pm (Jog Squad)
  • Thursday at 6pm – 7pm (Track Sessions)
  • Thursday at 7pm – 8pm (all ages)
  • Saturday at 10am – 11am (11yrs upwards)


Training is held mainly at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena, Queens Drive, Kilmarnock and Saturday sessions take place at Dean Castle Country Park. Kilmarnock   Club training kit consists of shorts, t-shirt, vest, track suit, outer jacket and suitable clothing for weather conditions. Hi-visibility clothing must be worn at all training sessions during the winter.

Membership fees are payable when joining the club and monthly or annually thereafter, depending on membership category. The amount is decided by the club at the AGM.   Competition kit will consist of shorts/ briefs, vest/ crop top, with appropriate clothing worn under the vest if required. In order to qualify for internal club competitions, club championships, all athletes must wear a club vest. Club vests are available from the clothing officer at the club.

Anyone wishing to join can register their interest by completing the Waiting List option here. The length of time you may remain on the Waiting List depends on club capacity at any point in time. Please ensure DOB is added as children can still join the list but will only be eligible from 9 yrs old.

In the main there is no Waiting List for the senior sections but if you could please still register your details on the Waiting List we would be most grateful.

The club have a number of Policies to ensure our members act within the club guidelines and are protested at all times.
