Jack Crawford 10k – Saturday 09/03/2019

The penultimate race of the Winter Championship took place in Bishopbriggs on Saturday 09/03/2019 in the form of the Jack Crawford 10k.  Five Harriers took part in the event.

For the women Jennifer Beattie continued an excellent string of performances with a time of 46:57 and Karen Robertson completed it with a time of 57:58.  Well done to both of them.

For the men, the first to finish for the Harriers was Martin Brown in a time of 33:33 and 6th place overall, an excellent achievement and very well done to him.  John Speirs followed with 37:36, another superb individual effort so very well done to John as well.  Ken Monaghan rounded it off for the men with a time of 43:10, well done to him too.

The championship tables have been updated.  For the women it is Jennifer Beattie, Kirsty McNulty and Paula Wilson leading the charge going into the final race.  For the men it is Connell Drummond, John Speirs and Murray McDonald in the top spots.  There could yet be some further changes following the final race for both the women and men.  The championship tables can be found below:

The last race of the Winter Championship is the Livingston 4/6 Road Relays on Sunday 24/03/2019.  The entries have already been made.  The winners of the Winter Championship 2018-19 will be announced following that race.
