Inter Districts Cross Country

Last weekend, the first major Cross Country event in the athletics calendar took place at Hollyrood Park in the Nation’s Capital at the Great Edinburgh Cross Country Races.

Preceeding the televised runs were Inter District Races and Kilmarnock Harriers had a few athletes who gained selection for the West District Team.

In the Under 13 Race, Caitlin McClounie came home in 30^th position as the Wests took the overall title, while Lorne Kerr and Bronagh Wishart also had strong runs as the West Districts held off their East counterparts to take the title.

Finally, completing the Kilmarnock quartet, Kara Tait had a strong run in the Senior Ladies race to place 19^th overall in possibly her strongest showing at this level.
