Dundonald 10km

The re-scheduled Dundonald 10km road race took place on Wednesday 14th August. Despite the disappearance of all the major floods in the village it was still a wet night. This however did not seem to stop anyone on what turned out to be a great night for many on a difficult hilly course. First in for the Kilmarnock men with a great run was Jim Connelly in a time of 38:18 and finishing 7th overall. Jim also takes the 15 points for the summer champs. Just Behind Jim was Steven Robson with a new PB of 38:22 and finishing 9th. Well done to Mark Lyden who also got a new PB of 45:06 and great to see club newcomer Stuart Wotherspoon racing for Killie.

For the women, first in and gaining the 15 championship points was Amanda Bryden in 49:25 with Viv Lambert just in behind in 49:34. Great racing from everyone on the night and well done to those also getting course PB’s.

Mark Lyden still leads the Summer Champs for the men and Amanda Bryden has jumped to the top again for the ladies.
