Coach and Leader Workshops

The club are hosting a Leading Athletics and Shot Putt workshop this weekend, Friday and Saturday.

The Leading Athletics workshop is for anyone who is looking to take the first step into coaching, assisting at the club on any night. The workshop last three hours and is largely practical, with each leader taking the lead on a session during the three hours. There are still a few places on this workshop and if anyone would like to attend, please email Jim Goldie on the email address at the bottom of this article.

The Shot Putt workshop will be held on Saturday morning and the club are pleased to have former Commonwealth Games athletes, Alison Grey delivering the workshop to our coaches. This workshop is ideal for all UKA Level 1 and Level 2 coaches working at any stage of the athlete pathway. The workshop is a practical session and will allow coaches to experience and deliver new and exciting ways to coach a shot putt session. I you have not already spoken to, or emailed Jim Goldie about the workshop, please email Jim on via the email at the bottom of the page.
