Club Championships – Volunteers Needed

On Sunday 4th September the club will be hosting the annual club track and field championships at the Ayrshire Athletics Arena.

As with all events, there is a need for volunteers to help run the event. The biggest change in this event is the number we need. We require 40+ volunteers to allow all the events to run smoothly and help to spread the workload.

These roles vary from writing down the distances to raking the sand pit after an athlete jumps. The events will be run by one of the club qualified officials and all volunteers will be fully supported in any role. To support the event, the club are offering a 30 min introduction to the field events on Monday 29th August or Thursday 1st September at 7pm.

This event is one of two events that all junior members should attend as part of their membership.

There will be a registration sheet in the reception over the next two weeks. Can we ask all parents/ guardians to put their name and email on the sheet when dropping off or picking up the athletes. On the registration sheet, there will be an option to select one of the introduction sessions next week.
