CCL Land o’ Burns 10k May 2018

Tonight was the CCL Land o’ Burns 10k race.  The weather conditions were very favourable and seventeen turned up from Kilmarnock Harriers to run along with a good support crew.

For the women the top three to finish were Kirsty McNulty (46:01), Jacqueline McConnell (46:35) and Viv lambert (48:21).  For the men the top three to finish were David McLure (35:37 and an extra special congratulations to him as he came 2^nd overall in the race), Steven Robson (40:47) and David Moody (41:45).

Personal bests were achieved by Kirsty McNulty, Jacqueline McConnell and Steven Robson so very well done to each of them.  If I have missed out the personal best times of anyone then please let me know and I will update this post.

The Summer Championship 2018 table has now been updated for both the women and men to reflect the results of today’s race.  For the women Amanda Bryden is in first place followed by Kirsty Alexander and Kirsty McNulty.  For the men Steven Robson and David McLure are in joint first and David Moody third.  Please see the links below for the full tables.

I would like to congratulate everyone who took part tonight, there were a lot of good runs today and that was pleasing to see.  I would also like to thank all those who came along and supported the runners tonight (both the cheering on and taking pictures) – it was very much appreciated.

The next two races in the Summer Championship 2018 are the Kirkmichael 10k on Saturday 26/05/2018 (entry is still open for this so please do sign up if you can as it is a good route to run and is one of the locally organised races) and the Babcock Shettleston 10k on Sunday 27/05/2018 (entry is now closed for this race).
