Ayrshire XC Relay Championships

What a fantastic day at this event held in Irvine on Saturday 20th, with winning teams and medallists from the juniors all the way through to the seniors. A fantastic turn out for Kilmarnock’s senior men with 4 competing teams. The mens A team with a collective time of 55:26 carried on their success from last year and took the gold. Within this was Richard Mair who ran the fastest lap for the men that day with a time of 12:52, well done Richard. Everyone ran exceptionally well with great times.

The ladies might have only had a couple of teams but were also very successful taking the bronze for Kilmarnock. Well done to all ladies, great running all round.

Great to see Scott Martin, Paula Wilson and Jennifer Beattie back racing after their successful marathons in Chester a couple of weeks ago and Jennifer also on her first xc for the club.

With Connell Drummond being the only male to complete all three winter races so far, he is currently at the top of the table with the women all currently sitting even.
