Around Cumbrae 10 Mile

Ideal running conditions greeted the Harriers at Cumbrae on Sunday for the annual 10 Mile race around the island. The club was out in force again and took many prizes on the day.

David McLure was the overall winner in 55:39 showing that he is in great form as he approaches the important part of his season. Craig Ferguson took 3rd place overall to cap off an excellent comeback this season after injury. There were age category wins for John Speirs (v40), Gordon Sandler (v50) and Matt Dodds (v60) to round off a dominant display from the Killie men.

Recent addition to the club Aly Conquer was 2nd female in a time of 69:10 and will surely feature highly in many more races over the coming months.

No change at the top of the Women’s leaderboard with Jacqueline McConnell and Amanda Bryden all but guaranteed the top 2 slots. 3rd place has all to play for with Jacqui Sandler, Michelle Goldie and Viv Lambert all within touching distance of each other. Championship-Tables-2019 100919 (F)
