AGM Fri 7th April – Information

The Annual General Meeting is to be held on Friday 7th April 2017 at the Dean Suite, Park Hotel, Kilmarnock and all members are encouraged to attend. Our first year as a registered charity has been very eventful and we would like to share this with our members.

An Agenda has been put together and also indicates details of positions where those willing to continue with roles have indicated their intentions to remain as part of the management structure or step down. This does not stop anyone from putting themselves forward or nominating someone for a role or indeed to share a role. New ideas are what help us develop and grow stronger.

If you wish to put forward a proposal to be considered then please send it to agm@kilmarnockharriers.com by Sat 1st of April. More details on this can be found within the AGM agenda document.

If you are also itching to get more involved or feel that you would like to support one of the Leads then we would encourage you to do so. Sometimes there can be a lot to do, and as a result due to limited resources some things cant be achieved  but with many people sharing roles this reduces the workload and really helps. Seeing lots of happy smiling faces, athletes achieving pb’s and generally enjoying themselves can very rewarding for all!

Below are documents in support of the AGM:

One of the main changes is the proposal to introduce monthly fees:

Club Fees

The club have reviewed the club fees and are recommending a monthly payment structure to:

  • Encourage members to attend more
  • Less work for volunteers
    • No nightly collection of monies
    • Saves time – quicker Registration
    • Cuts down on banking – online payments
    • No need to chase unpaid fees
  • Regular Income and predictable Financial Management
  • Quicker to identify Leavers (as the club are rarely informed), and allow us to induct new members sooner (we have a waiting list of almost 100 at present).

For members using the AAA track or indoor facilities usage the monthly fee is roughly equivalent to the current annual subscription  use of the facility once a week (i.e. 48 training sessions per year) but can now be used for all training sessions.

It is important to note that the monthly fee now includes the annual subscription therefore no annual fee is required unless a member is within the Associate and Second Claim categories.

Registration is still required by all members prior to training.
