National Cross Country Championships

The last cross country of the winter season was the National Championships at Callendar Park, Falkirk on Saturday 23rd February. On a drier course than past years a number of Kilmarnock Harriers crossed the finish line with great times. First in for the Killie men in a fantastic time of 37:40 was Martin Brown, who also takes the 10 points for the winter championships. Well done to Jamie Nix, representing the under 20’s men for Kilmarnock.  For the Women, first in for Killie was Jennifer Beattie in a time of 55:33, who takes the 10 points for the ladies in the winter championships.

Well done to all that raced especially those that tackled the difficult course for the first time.

All results from the race can be found HERE

Connell Drummond keeps his lead for the championships for the men, with John Speirs still in second and Robert Lindsay now third.

The women’s championship has taken a slight change with Jennifer Beattie now in first and Kirsty McNulty now in second.

With only two races left in the winter championships, this can still change.
