Rowallan Rosebowl 2017 Results

Congratulations to all 70 runners who competed in this years Rowallan Rosebowl. It was great to see the junior section so well represented and so many new faces in the race, I am sure they all benefited from (and enjoyed!) the experience. There were some fine individual performances on the night – especially from Gordon Reid, in 14:41 and an impressive 17:16 from Colleen Tait.  However it is a team event which requires strength in depth to deliver the results and the team who had this on the night was Team 4 made up of

Gordon Reid, Aiden Hessett, Gordon Sandler, Alan Anderson

and the junior pairing of Sam Lindsay and Johnny Houson.

It is they who will now have their names engraved on this historic trophy which we have been competing for since 1933. Well done to them. To every one else – there’s always next year!

Trying to pull together teams under pressure is  a bit error prone but I must apologise to Team 12 for inadvertently overloading their team with juniors and not allocating them a fast runner. No excuses but Viv and Jamila if you fancy the Valley Dash on the 31st I promise you a sympathetic handicap!
