Latest Summer Champs Update

Only one more race to go in the Summer Champs & it’s not over just yet! We won’t know the winners until the final race is run & those points, aswell as the points for best marathon times are added. Can anyone who has done a marathon please pass you time to the Club Captains asap.

Very windy conditions greeted the runners, at the penultimate Summer Champs race on Sunday, the Round Cumbrae 10 mile roadrace. Almost 30 Harriers took part, which is a fantastic turn out, lets keep that up over the Winter Season & make the Winter Champs just as competitive. First Harriers over the line on Sunday were Connell Drummond & Rhona O’Neil, both still in contention to win the Champs. Current leaders are James Connelly for the Men & a change after Cumbrae for the Women’s Champs, with Kate Todd taking the top spot! Well done to these athletes & all who raced on Sunday.

The last race to gain these valuable points, is Dumfries Half Marathon (this is also a West Championship race), which is on Sunday 25th Sept, online entry via Entry Central is available until the 23rd Sept & there are still plenty of spaces left at the moment.
