Senior Winter Championships

The last, & best, cross country of the Winter Champs, the National Cross Country Championships, took place on Saturday at Callendar Park in Falkirk, there were a few late call offs & a couple of dnf, but 7 seniors completed the tough 8k (for women) & 12k (for men) course. Well done to all who took part, especially fastest male & female Harriers of the day, Neil Walker & Bethany Ross, both collecting full 10 points for their efforts & moving up the Winter Champs tables. Current leaders are Ross Connelly & Paula Wilson.

The next race, & last individual race, of the Championships is the popular Clydebank 5k on Sat 19th March. This can be entered on the day, it starts at 2pm & costs £6 saf (£8 non saf).

The last race will be the National 6/4 Stage Road Relay Championships in Livingston on Sunday 3rd April, there are 4 women & 6 men in each team, with alternate short (3.1 mile) & long (5.8 mile) legs.  You must be a member of Scottish Athletics & wear a club vest to take part. As this is the last race of the Champs & also a great club day out, it would be great to have a big turn out on the day. Anyone wishing to enter please pass their names & entry fee (£4.50) to Club Captains by Thurs 17th March.
