Rowallan Rosebowl 2015

Congratulations to all 43 runners who competed in this years Rowallan Rosebowl on a warm but blustery night at the AAA. It was great to see the junior section so well represented and so many new faces in the race, I am sure they all benefited from (and enjoyed!) the experience. There were some fine individual performances on the night – especially from Cameron Wilson in 14:14 and newly returned Laura Haggerty in 18:00. However it is a team event which requires strength in depth to deliver the results and the team who had this on the night was Team 4 made up of

John Cairns, Russell Duncan, Liz Mackie, and the junior pairing of Grant Beattie and Bethany Ross.

It is they who will now have their names engraved on this historic trophy which we have been competing for since 1933. Well done to them. To every one else – there’s always next year!

Finally thanks to the marshals and timekeepers who helped out tonight.
