Kilpatrick Hill Race

Another Wednesday, another Bog and Burn hill race, this time at Old Kilpatrick, looking over the Erskine Bridge. This is one of the faster B+B races and would suit roadrunners/trailrunners (Keith Haining has done well here in the past). On a night that was cool and cloudy but ideal for running, the honours went to Colin Glencorse(15th in 51-30) and Davie White(16th in 51-39), both very well placed in a classy field. Kilmarnock Harriers other competitor was Roddy Pugh, who had one of his better runs of the season so far(52nd in 58.48, comfortably in the top half of the field).

Next week the series moves on to Cort-ma-law in the Campsies (again suitable for road and trailrunners).   We had a big turnout at the Land o’ Burns 10k (report to follow?), held on the same night as Kilpatricks.  Hope to see some traditional roadrunners venturing off road this year
