Superteams proved to be a big hit with the youngsters

The national U12 SuperTeams was a great success for the youngest members of Kilmarnock Harriers & Athletics Club. For many athletes this was the first time they were exposed to a national competition and our youngsters can be proud of their achievements. Kilmarnock Harriers athletes gave a good account of themselves and were indeed leading in a number of events, showing the rest of the country that speed development training is an important part our training by winning a number of sprint events. A big thank you to all coaches, in particular coach Colin King and Rachel Rose-Smith, who organised this event last minute without any previous competition experience. Although final results are not available yet, there have been many excellent performances. A big thank you to all athletes and their parents who supported this event.
