We have a number of groups suitable for all abilities from beginners to fast runners. New athletes. or athletes returning to the sport after time away, are most welcome to come along to train and eventually compete in Road races and / or Track and Field meetings.

There are track and field seniors as well as the road running groups below:

6pm Road Running Group

7pm Road Running Group One

7pm Road Running Group Two
Alasdair Murray & Mike Corson are the leaders of this group. This group is for intermediate level runners with each session comprising approximately 60 minutes running, covering 7-8 miles. The group includes runners covering all distances up to marathon and beyond.

Training runs are at a steady pace with occasional fartlek or faster intervals introduced. Training with this group you should be capable of running 10k in around 45 minutes. The routes covered by this group are detailed in the Calendar on the club website.

Track sessions – Endurance
Jim Young is the club senior coach and organises track sessions tailored to the needs of the group or individual race objectives. The group is aimed at people whose goal is to improve their running. Generally those in this group will be regularly competing on the track or on the road and be prepared to come out of their comfort zone in order to give themselves the best opportunity to achieve their goals.

Sessions vary each week ranging from short, sharp repetitions, to longer efforts and expert advice is always on hand before and after the session. Each session starts at 7pm sharp although it should be noted that this group should be at the track by 6.30pm to properly warm up.
