Rowallan Rosebowl 2013

Congratulations to all 33 runners who competed in this years Rowallan Rosebowl on a scorching night at the AAA. It was great to see the junior section so well represented in the race and I am sure they benefited (and enjoyed!) the experience. There were some fine individual performances on the night – especially from Rodger Naughton in 17:37 and Kara Tait in 18:32. However it is a team event which requires strength in depth to deliver the results and the team who had this on the night was Team 2 made up of

John Cairns, Ryan Crolla, John McLarty and Kirsten Dale.

It is they who will now have their names engraved on this historic trophy which we have been competing for since 1933. Well done to them. To every one else – there’s always next year! Finally thanks to the marshals and timekeepers who helped out and especially to Matt Dodds for his generous contribution to the refreshments.
