Cross Country Season – We Need Your Support

In addition to club members competing in a range of cross country events over the coming season, the club will be hosting 5 events at the AAA. These are –

Tuesday 4^th October – East Ayrshire Schools Cross Country Championships

Saturday 15^th October –  Ayrshire Cross Country Relays

Tuesday 25^th October – Ayrshire Schools Cross Country Championships

Saturday 3^rd December – West District Cross Country Championships

Saturday 21st January – West District Cross Country League meeting.

Typically, the volunteers to help run these events are drawn from a fairly small group of the ‘usual suspects’ for whose help we are extremely grateful. However, given the fact that it is such a busy season it would be good if some new volunteers could step up and lighten the load.

No one would be asked to do anything out of their comfort zone and instructions / guidance will be provided.  The kind of duties we would wish to cover would be –

Course Preparation and Set Up

Marshalling

Race Administration – Registration / Results recording etc

Catering Support – helping man our tuck shop / Cafe

These events could not take place without our volunteers. As a former participant or a parent / guardian of current participants, it would be great if you were able to help keep these events going.
