Graded Officials Course

Athletics is a very straight forward sport ,you run as fast as you can from point A to B regardless of the distance. You jump as Long or as High as possible. You throw the object as far as you can
But like everything in life you require rules to ensure all this is done fairly and no one gains an unfair advantage
Rules like
The start so that everyone is given the opportunity to start fairly
Duration of the race ensure everyone runs the same distance .s
Sprints staying in your lane .Longer races ensure no one impends or obstructs an other runner
The finish noting the finishing order
Jumps ensure all jumps are measured the same way
Throws exactly the same
These plus others are in place to ensure all events are run to the exact same format
Hence the need for graded officials
We already have a fantastic small team of them in the club at present But we must increase our numbers so we can ensure that the athletes in the club young and old continue to get the opportunity to compete We have had to unfortunately recently had to cancel 2 events scheduled for the AAA because there were not enough available officials
We are planning on running a graded officials training course at the AAA on a club night ,starting next month or early September
Can all members/ parents off please look seriously at signing up You do not require any knowledge of athletics as training and continuing support will help and guide you at all times
