Covid Update

As many of you will have seen in the news in recent days, the new variant of Covid is causing concern for the government and health boards.

Kilmarnock Harriers AC will always follow the latest guidance and will react very quickly to changes in restrictions going forward. In order to protect the membership, can we ask all members, parents and guardians to follow ALL the guidance given out throughout the pandemic:

  • Wear a face covering in communal areas, when moving indoors, these must be worn
  • Sanitise your hands and equipment you use, before and after the session.
  • Where possible, stay more than 1m from others.
  • If you feel unwell, no matter if it is Covid symptoms or not, DO NOT attend the club.
  • If you are contacted by test and protect to isolate, please follow the guidance provided.
  • If someone in your household contracts the new variant, you must isolate for ten days.

As previously posted, ALL athletes should be dropped off in the car park. There are still parents/ guardians driving up to the gates and having to turn around on the road. The walk from the car park is less than 100m, please drop off and pick up from the car park and DO NOT try and drive into the turning circle inside the gates.

We will continue to monitor updates and make changes to our working practices to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved at the club.

If you contract Covid and have been at the club within 48 hours from being diagnosed, please email coaching@kilmarnockharriers.com to advise. This allows the club to help test and protect in limiting the potential spread in the community.
