7 juniors in action at national Cross Country event in Falkirk

7 members of the junior section, U15/U17 age groups,  competed at the National Cross Country at Falkirk’s Callander Park and gained valuable experience at this national event, as for a few this was the first time they competed at this high level.

Among the female Harriers it was Claire Orr, who was first home. Claire was closely followed by Olivia Cochrane and Lauren Park, who were only seconds apart. Shona McBean made up the full team of Kilmarnock runners, which placed 10th overall. There were only two Kilmarnock boys entered in the U15 age group and it was Neil O’Neil who finished first Harrier closely followed by Angus Kerr.

In the U17 age group it was Stacie Taylor, who this time was running for Glasgow School of Sport, and finished an excellent 8th place out of 49 competitors.
