YOUR CLUB Kilmarnocķ Harriers & AC

On the back of a hugely successful last few days for the club with excellent performances in both the London and Stirling marathons great success at the Ayrshire 5km road champs ,and the juniors winning the first match inthe YDL all is looking very good
But as Donald McIntosh post on the Harriers facebook page states we need help and fresh faces and ideas with the running of the club
So whats involved and how much time does it take ?
Trustee they are involved in the strategy and future planning of the club
Time involved they mmeet 6 times per year 90 minutes to 2 hours per meeting
Committee member day to day running of the club
They meet approximately 9 or 10 times per year
Time involved 1 hour to 90minutes per meeting At present NO athletes or parents off on the committee ( Only exception is mens and womens club captains )
Events Helping the officials ensure the events go smoothly example raking the sand at the Long Jump or helping to measure a jump or a throw .or helping on the track Plus you get to see the athletes compete up close
Time 2 or 3 hours with regular breaks

Coaching / Adult Helpers
Are you a parent of a kid at the club So instead of dropping your youngster of or sitting in the stand please help the coaches with equipment or anything that helps and frees up there time so the young aathletes get more out of every session .Plenty of our current coaches started out this way
Time 1 hour once or twice a week
These are only a few suggestions and as you can see we are not really asking a lot just a few hours
If you can help at all please come foward and speak to any committee member any night at training
