Harriers go PLOGing

Next week Kilmarnock Harriers join many clubs across the country who are doing their bit for the environment and community and Picking Up Litter On the Go (PLOG).

This is an initiative of Keep Scotland Beautiful and next week:

Junior members are encouraged to PLOG in the vicinity of the Ayrshire Athletics Arena and Scott Ellis. This will take place between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th April.  Meet at the AAA as usual.

Senior members will be PLOGing on the cycle track between Western Road and Knockentiber on Tuesday 23rd April, between 7pm and 8pm, where you can probably incorporate a short run along the cycle track to get to your selected litter picking point.  As the Rons Runners 5k is on the following night many members will be taking it easy on Tuesday anyway!.

East Ayrshire Council are expected to provide us with all the equipment needed to PLOG.
