An impressive field of 35 Harriers took their place at the start line on Wednesday night for the 28th running of the Troon 10K.
Conditions were not ideal with runners having a strong headwind to contend with from the off, however that did not prevent good performances all round.
Ladies Club Captain Kara Tait put in a great show and was 1st female home in 37:12, finishing a full 59 seconds ahead of her nearest challenger.
First male home for the club was Iain Connell in 34:54 finishing 8th overall and 3rd in his category, closely followed by Scott Martin in 35:14 placing 9th overall/4th in category.
Neil Walker, running only his 2nd 10K, smashed his previous best by over 3 mins coming home in 36:38
In his first run in Kilmarnock colours, Robert Lindsay had an impressive debut completing in a time of 37:58. Mark Alexander achieved a personal best of 38:25 and both him and Robert now go onto the Edinburgh Marathon with high hopes.
There was also a PB for Jacqueline Neil who had a strong run completing in 48:49 and taking a full 1:40 off her previous personal best.
In the Veteran Men 60-69 category there were top 10 finishes for Matt Ferguson (4th) and Alex Pettigrew (7th)
